Favorite Quote:
In my mind, I can climb intricate scaffolds of words to reach the highest ceiling of the cathedral and paint my thoughts. But when I open my mouth, it all collapses.
- Isaac Marion, Warm Bodies

She is full of lies

Hurricane and turmoil unleashed together

She brings a wave of destruction along with her

With that expression of indifference and toughness

She stares as the wall without really seeing

Indiscernible eyes, dark and light

Bottomless, endless, and shut tight

And then something escapes her eye

Tumbling slowly, gracefully, down her cheek

And she feels the salty on her tongue

She raises her hand to wipe the tear away

Because she has an image to uphold

The face of calm and composure

But no one really knows what she feels inside

Because all they see is the tough exterior

And the hard, unwelcoming, shut face

What they don’t see is the wheels churning in her head

Round and round, whirring, whooping and dizzy

She looks at the crinkled silver foil and reads the tiny black print

It should have killed her by now already

But all she feels is hollow and empty, just like everyday

Not knowing if it’s really her under that skin.
