Jealousy's Kiss
She was alone and distant
But she did not mind
She was far too brilliant
Like the stars, she shined
Unconditional was her love
Her beauty was limitless
Like the sky up above
She knew she was blessed
Their eyes fell onto her
Piercing through her skin
They felt cold as ice
It froze her within
They took her hands
And closed her eyes
Pretending they were her friends
And soothed her cries
She was where they wanted
Their words so cruel
She was left daunted
She was such a fool
They broke her down
Why? She screamed
They did not hear a sound
You were supposed to love me
