Pearl white walls surround a soft pink bundle
Beautiful, I thought as I cupped my hands around my teary eyes
Blocking the light
Her blue green eyes flickered open and stared at me
As the bright yellow lights danced across her rosy cheekbones
Her pupils try to focus as I take her all in
It’s almost like she could see right through me
Like she knew who I was
She had the tiniest bit of auburn hair that had golden highlights
If she turned her head just right
Her crescent shaped smile complimented her perfectly rounded crème colored nose
She was perfect in every way
Flawless
I wanted to hold her
To let her know who I was
When I saw my reflection staring at me
My fingers swept side of her face, the same shape as mine,
But hers looked more like a roman goddess,
A beautiful heart-shape
A few tears welled up before they tumbled to the white tile floor
The harsh white blanketing even the warmest bundle of life
Nothing this wonderful could have came from me, I thought
especially something with life, my blood running through her veins.
As I stood there looking at her all I could think about was that she was
Mine
