divorce
Screams and cries filled the air
I see my little sister,
Her arms being pulled
Back and forth, back and forth.
Each arm was in my parents hand
When is this confliction going to end?
I never wanted my parents to split
But nothing could be done to stop it.
I sat there and played the game
While my mom and big sis were off to catch a plane.
Every minute of everyday, I really missed my mom.
Something was ticking inside me.
Something like a time bomb,
Ready to explode from the pressure and stress.
We went to the courts to settle this fight.
My mother fought for us with all her might.
I never thought divorce could cause such heartache and pain.
I got in my dad’s car, feeling no other emotion but shame.
