Falling
Falling down hard didn’t stop me any.
Just walk it off and continue playing.
Sprained fingers and ankles were common.
But it didn’t stop me any.
Climbing on top of monkey bars,
Jumping off swings,
And rolling down the biggest hills imaginable.
Falling down hard is just a part of life.
Hopping fences, running up and down the block.
Hitting your lip while trying to jump on
the extremely fast merry- go –round.
Trying to explain to mom how I
ripped a hole in my dress.
Playground fights and grass-stained jeans
Jumping on the bed, falling off and four stitches
Falling down hard is just a part of life,
And it makes you stronger every day.
