Maybe if I just sit in the darkness,
With my pain,
I can be invisible like that.

Maybe if I just sit here and say
No words
I can be invisible like that.

Maybe if I don’t move,
Forget my tears,
Close my eyes,
I can turn into the darkness like that.

Maybe if I sit here and stop,
Maybe if I don’t listen,
Maybe if no one was here,
Maybe if I was alone,
Maybe if my lips don’t tremble,
I can turn invisible like that.

Maybe if I sit in the darkness
Silent,
Alone,
Quiet,
My pain will go away like that.

In a performance setting, the "like that"s would be snaps and it would be more like a song. This was really written sitting in the darkness of my room, wanting to be numb.
