As Martin Luther King once said,
"I have a dream..."
I have a dream, that one day
I will be free of the burdens of judgement.
I will be free of all labels and names.
I will be given a chance.
I have a dream, that one day
I will be free to love my son,
And not looked down upon for my age.
I will be free of being called Teen Mom,
And looked up to for my strength.
I have a dream, that one day
I will be free to succeed.
I will be free of the shackles that hold me back.
I will be free to pursue my dreams.
I will prosper.
I have a dream, that one day
I will prove the world wrong.
I will do everything they said I couldn't.
I am a dreamer, yet far more a pursuer.
I will be free.

I have a dream, that one day,
I will live the dream.

This poem was written for the people who thought I'd never be able to do it. Having a baby in high school doesn't mean your life is over. I found a path and I will succeed in my dreams no matter what. If I found a path with no obstacles it probably wouldn't lead me anywhere.
