City lights,
busy nights

One kid screaming,
the other dreaming

Long hours,
wishing for superpowers

The family's praying,
for fate to be delaying

Lying in your arms,
you never lost your charm

Your hand drops, eyes close,
the time slows

Your body buried,
emotions varied

Late nights,
last rites

The author's comments:
This piece of poetry is about the late nights spent at my mother's hospital bed side. It captures all the feelings of that last night with your loved one. Miss and love you mom.
