Tears run down my face like ice melting in your hand
I try not to cry.
Someone opens my door,
The creaking
Is like fingernails down a chalkboard.
They walk back out
Like regret
Saying nothing about my tears,
They keep coming down my face
Like a wishing well.
They don’t care about me
Tears run down my face like ice melting in my hand.
I want to run away, far far away,
Like Antarctica,
Just like my tears,
Tears run down my face.
