A smile spreads across her face,
and I know it will be okay,
Her hands cup my chubby cheeks,
and she whispers in my ear,
“Everyone has their doubts,
everyone needs to fear.”
I look at her with a confused expression,
and she just laughs and ruffles my hair.
I look at her through my small eyes,
and see my mother.

Great job!  I love how simple it is, yet how satisfying it is for the reader.  Again, I appreciate the effort you put into having proper punctuation!  Keep writing!
