The Poet's Final Words

"In the eyes of every person,
There lies an ocean waiting to be discovered.
In every heart there lies a soul,
Waiting to be touched.
In the words of every dead poet,
There was a screaming, tortured soul in pain,
For losses too great have stirred the artist within,
And left him with a pen and a hangman’s noose as company.
In the dreams of every child there is innocence and amaranth,
Alive and bright until it withers black in time,
For a child’s smile only lasts so long…"

A poem that encompasses the themes that spread throughout all of my other works.
