Ground Zero
Ten years ago, there was a place…
Where people worked within their space.
Taxi’s speeding and people walking,
The sight of the city was completely shocking.
Two buildings standing straight and tall,
Nobody thought they would ever fall.
But early that morning on 9/11
Thousands of people were sent to heaven.
The sight became known as ground zero,
It’s a place for families and survivors to go to thank their hero.
Ten years later, the sight is breath taking.
Fountains and buildings are still in the making,
To remember those whose lives were lost that day
And to thank the heroes with words we cannot say.
