Me vs. World
November 8, 2011
I gather up my thoughts and lock them in my heart.
My trust is weak and my tears swallow cities.
Troubled by questions that will never have answers,
Surrounded by friends
Abandoned by enemies
I fight my battles alone.
Separated from reality,
Excluded from society,
My one and only friend is you.
Oh my dear pen and paper,
You act as a translator for me and my feelings.
You show me I’m not completely isolated in my own world.
I feel relief when I see you anxiously awaiting my return from a long day of fighting the world.
