I once sat down to think.
I once sat down to think.
Adversity is an ever-changing force.
Ever-present ever-strengthened
it pounds on doors and
whispers through windows.
It climbs to the top and
crawls on the bottom.
It rocks us from our cradles.
It creates a dream,
a chance, a perspective.
It gives birth to woes
as it fosters the power to defeat them.
As we fall to the ground
we meet others that bear its mark.
It presents us with a mirror and an opportunity to mold our own reflection.
