Your heart will beat
Its final beat
The breeze from your lips
Is no more
Your eyelids flutter
To their final rest
And your life
Closes its door
Then out from the darkness
His shadow descends
Encasing your soul
In his hands
Locking it within
His eternal chains
The Reaper has come
Once again
He'll steal you away from
From the lighter side
Leave your life to dry out
In the cold
He cannot be defeated
By the measly hand of man
For the reaper lives on
Evermore
So do not attempt to
Defy him
Take care to heed by
His call
Yet do not live on
In fear of him
For the Reaper will come
For us all
