The words dance across the page
Colliding, wandering and lost
They do not know how to make sense
But they're desperate enough to try
So they rave and ramble, releasing a furious whirlwind of emotions
Like white hot anger that will consume them
Or an angry flash of red that will destroy them
Or emitting a calming blue, that is all an act
They cannot move forward, each fighting to bring down the other
Destroy, conquer and replace
A bitter sadness yet lingers within all
As they fight for their survival the only way
As they struggle to live on page after page
Like they can pull something from their reaches
That strikes a melancholy chord in every heart
They struggle to create something new, something worthwhile
The words dance across the page
Searching, hoping and still lost
They do not know what to do further
And sometimes I really wonder
They're just like people
Trying to find out where they belong.

I got this when I was struggling with a story I had to shorten, and I just couldn't decide what all to cross off. And humans are just like that, fighting in this ever lonely world, to enter and stay in someone's life.
