"Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

Do you recall
How I swayed to your notes…?
The very beginning
The trickle of sound…?
Your soft trills
Tickled my mind…
Sending warm waves
Of success through
The air…
Tell me the story
Again, won’t you…?
The sweet decrescendos
Into almost nothingness…
And the lovely crescendos
Reaching for the sky…
Can you once again
Bring out my notes
Into a forte…?
Will you play with
Me the soft
Legato ties…?
Sing…
To the heavens like never before…
Be honest and true
Like the summer suns…
Keep steady
In all weeping moments,
For those moments
That come will pass
Like the wind in spring time…
Keep your breathing light
As if you were
Breathing on glass butterfly wings…
And stay toward
The light…
Every door can be
Opened with us
Hand in hand…
Shall we once again
Send warm waves
Of success through
The air…?

This peice is about my trumpet solo. I remembered the sweet perfection of every single note I played.
