sit back and remember me,
this is the way it was all meant to be
me with you and you with me
how can a love so deep
end so passionately

a kiss to the lips a hug to my body
no i must go and you stay here without me.
i know this hurts
but only for a moment
embrace me in your memory
and don't let anyone deprive you of it.

although are time has been lost
now i have to pay god the cost.
cost of my life and our eternal love
so as for you i will wait far up above

don't sit and morn i want you to be happy.

The author's comments:
I thought of my mother who had passed in 2006 of cancer, and as i thought of her. I put myself in her position of her true feelings of knowing about her death and how she may have felt toward her children
