Seconds
I had a moment
Where I felt the Earth
Under my feet
The ocean spread it's arms
And wrapped around my ankles
And the sand seeped
Between my toes
And my legs were cold
I had a moment
Where I looked out
And saw that the road had no end
The land stretched out
And the mountains moved
And my eyes could see
And the road carried me
Further out and away
And my mind was calm
I had a moment
Where I saw the sun
Bleed on the sky and the dirt
The dust made a cloud
And spun around me
And my lungs
Could really breathe
And my chest was open
I had a moment
When I woke up
And everything was still
The sky was a blue haze
And the sun was hidden
And my body felt heavy
While everyone was sleeping
And I felt happy
