If I had a box...
If I had a box…
I would put inside of this box,
Another box, smaller,
But that can hold more.
If I had a box…
There would be a lit match,
That never burns.
Birds that never sing.
And a mighty bear,
That never kills.
If I had a box…
Rivers would not rush of water,
But flow of fire.
Mustangs would gallop and trot,
freely,
But in a cage.
And roses would not be the sweet scent,
That attracts a lover,
But the scent of pure nothing-ness.
If I had a box…
Clocks would turn,
But not clockwise.
Thoughts would be heard, and seen,
But without being spoken or drawn.
Earthquakes would not rumble and shake the ground,
But would be merely a vibration from a phone.
And fear, would not be feared,
But looked in then splintered face,
And laughed at.
If I had a box…
What is known would be unknown,
And what is unknown would be learned.
Learned like the mysteries of my box,
That’s,
If I had a box…
But of course…
I don’t have a box…
