“Ode to Paintball”

This is my heaven
The smell and feeling
The pain and determination
Everything for a sport
Why?
I couldn’t even explain
Because it is fun
There are other things that are fun
But nothing that fills the void which paintball does
There are so many reasons
You couldn’t begin to understand why I play
There is no rush like this
Split second changes the game
Strap on the mask
Gas up the marker
Load up my paint
And I couldn’t think of anything better
