No New Tomorrow
The alarm clock buzzes: go to school
The bell rings: head to work or an after school activity
The shift is over: get to homework
The family calls but are neglected
The alarm rings: they head to work
The long day is over
Time for sleep
The day begins again
"Time for family or a passion"
Will forever be lost in the hustle and bustle of modern life
Does the connection still live on?
Or is it faded in the alarms, schedules and tedious work?
No time for deep contemplation or personal expression
As this poem is written on the back of an old receipt, while on the job
It begs to question:
What kind of society have we created?
