As the Earth Spins Round
Life.
As it barrels before us
Slowly it spins its trail
Turning and winding beyond belief
Wasting away less than brief
Heart.
It grows and stumbles
Pushes and pulls
Hurts and keeps
But it too slowly sleeps
Truth.
It slowly perishes
As lies gain in strength
Mankind suffers
But no one wonders
As for us,
We have a choice
Let it be our God
Or back to our dust
Don’t let time be wasted
We only get it once
