Forgive You

I choose to forgive you.
I once hated you;
Now I feel nothing.
I let your selfishness
Take over.
I gave you nothing
So you trampled on my everything.
I let your words
Break me,
But I healed
And fought back.
I fought too hard,
Because in the end,
You were gone.
With you gone,
I can’t hate you.
So instead,
I choose to forgive you.
