My two-years-old nephew young
Held a stick by the palm
And motioned a gun.
He beheld my curious gaze,
Dropped the stick in shame
And merried his fingers.

The author's comments:
I know of no relative of mine ever owning a gun. Except for one of my uncles who was a soldier about 13 years ago. That was the only time I have ever seen a real-life gun. My nephew sometimes breaks away from the TV screen gloomy in face during a movie and that, to me, explains his behavior in "My Two-years Old Nephew Young". He's watched enough movies of the sort to know what is going on. And to be repulsed by it, and to be ashamed on awareness of imitating it! it was striking to me.
