Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

Is a time when everyone
From all walks of life
Join together to share a welcoming meal.
And everyone
From everywhere
Says “Thanks.”
And warm greetings fill the air,
Just as a steamy cup of cocoa heats the hands,
As “Happy Thanksgiving’s” echo through the wintry breeze.
“Herzliche Danksagung.”
“Feliz Dia de Gracias.”
“Joyeux Thanksgiving.”
And the savory feast begins.

The author's comments:
As we near Thanksgiving and the autumn weather gradually turns to Winter, I reflect on what Thanksgiving is all about. To most Americans, maybe it's all about parades, football, and turkey. But to me, it's much more than that.

I really like your message. The different languages are cool, but your overall language choices are bit cliché. I think what you're trying to say is really important, and adding fresh lines, describing the images in ways no ones described them before would really make your poem more powerful. Really excellent point though, and I don't agree--gratitude is extemely important and very undervalued.

Looking at your different poems, you may also like my poem But First You Have To Believe. It's quite long, but I think you would understand it; I'd love to know what you think if you have the time to check it out.
