End of the road
It started twelve years back…
Holding my mother’s hands...
I stepped into the strange place of kids galore
I sat on my desk, turning around to see lots of new faces,
Some smiling, some crying, some even wailing…
A tall motherly figure walked through the doorway
Greeted us gleefully, wherein all sadness disappeared…
Gradually, the strange faces started becoming familiar..
The huge white walls seemed less threatening…
School almost became my second home…
Fast forward twelve years later…
I whined, I complained, I cried, I laughed…
I’ve had my ups and downs...
There were days when I thought I was imprisoned here...
Then again,
There were days, when I thought there was never a better place than this
A lot of memories, I’ve collected…
Good or bad it be, they’ll be cherished and treasured forever….
Looking back to the days filled with tests, homework, essays and assemblies
Somewhere along the way, these little things, which I frequently whined about,
Became a part of me and are going to leave a big gap in my life…
Here are the people, whom I grew up with,
With whom I learned the lessons of life…
With whom I shared my joys and sorrows, good days and bad days
With whom I hung out and fought with
Whom I can always refer to as my FRIENDS…
A lot of words unspoken,
A lot of people to be missed
A lot of memories to be treasured
A lot of lessons yet to be learned
A lot of tears to be shed
Adieu, my high school

This is pretty good and I think it sums up very well the way people feel when they make any major transition in life. Well, I wish you all the luck in the real world... and I hope you keep writing, because you are good at it.
Check out my stuff sometime? I'd like to hear from you.
