Do you ever get those flutters?
That feeling in your heart that sputters?
That strange sensation all about?
That leaves your mind so full of doubt?
That nervousness you just have to feel?
That emotion that just can’t be real?
And when you feel it, what do you say?
“Please, oh no! Just go away?”
Or do you embrace it, and let it show?
Not try to keep your thoughts below?
Do you want to run and hide away?
Or do you wish to stay all day?
And if the reason for this flutter,
Be it person, place, or even butter,
Were to come to you and say
Would you like a kiss today,
What would you say?

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by a text message that said "Do you ever get that fluttery feeling in your stomach?" I had never heard it called "fluttery" before and I immediately thought of it as a poem. I hope you enjoy it.

After reading your other poem, I searched for more of your work and I'm so glad I did! I love your writting style so much and I love how cheerful these last two poems that I read have been. You have true talent!
