Waiting
Here, idiot
Take my blood, warm beneath my shivering skin,
You’ve already taken my heart,
What would I require the blood for?
Take my soul, sightless man
You are unaware but it exists for you
Thrash at my happiness a few more times,
Until the sweet red iron fills the crevasses of my mouth
And I can no longer breathe with full lungs
Why not?
Proves my devotion.
Aid me, deceiver
Shepherd me to the park,
Bury me
Six feet below and smirk.
I’ll wait until the ground thaws to climb out
and beam at you.
Would you smile back?
Enlighten me with another flaw of mine.
I was unaware I have so many.
You do as well,
They’ve drowned in your ego.
Take note, ticking bomb
Your life is an illusion to you
Come on, have another glass of gin,
Couldn’t hurt right?
Seventeen and already seventy.
Where are you going lost boy?
Neverland is right here,
Safe in my arms waiting for you to clear your head,
Brush off your knees,
And fall into me
