Careless
I walk down these halls and I see them everywhere.
Just looking at them makes me angry.
I don’t feel sorry for them.
I don’t care about them.
They are just worthless burnouts.
They don’t care anymore.
They have given up.
They just look for different routes.
Something that might make the pain a little less painful.
Smoking.
Drinking.
Cutting.
Skipping.
They have nothing left.
Nothing that can save them.
They have to do that themselves.
They don’t try at anything.
What will they do?
Will they work?
Maybe they will change.
That would be the right choice to make.
The correct ultimatum.
I try as hard as I possibly can.
In just about everything.
And to see those kids just not care,
Makes me angry.
I just can’t believe that some kids just don’t care anymore.
