different picture
I'm lost in confusion, so much in my life has changed
A year has slid away like a teardrop down a cheek
Unreal, like an illusion, how much everything has been rearranged
Sometimes I feel so alone, vulnerable and weak
Not quite comftorable yet in my new skin
I have to relax and give myself time to adjust
Just like a pair of shoes, I need to be broken in
Life seems to drifting aimlessly, like a particle of dust
A small handful of people I feel safe to still call friends
I watch them gratefully as they extend a helping hand
Bonds of friendship the brain does not comprehend
Unbreakable, even the hourglasses sand it can withstand
The world seems colder after living in a controlled setting
Watching old friends make the same damn mistakes
They may end up like me, thinking of their past and regretting
They are going too fast and can't seem to hit the brakes
Influences spread like ripples of in a water bucket
Some are for the better, some are for the worse
Teenage rebels thinking "School? Aww fu** it."
"Preps" work hard on homework and take a better course
Filling the cafeteria are posses and social classes
A plethora of tribes all with their own ideals
A stupid way too divide the masses
How did all this come from a time to eat our meals?
Some try so hard to fit in they forget who they are
They change more often than the weather
Doing this, you will not make it far
Just like a bald bird without a single feather
Now those glory days are almost done
The number of quarters left I can count with one hand
Their was alot of trouble and alot of fun
I hope my transition from boy to man can go as planned
