METAMORPHOSIS
Flutter on the flower
Flutter flies away
Leaving youth behind
Leaving her youth behind

Flutter, flutter, until
Flutters stop
Delicate sheen fades into
Dull broken disarray

Fly while she can
Past a window
A mere fleeting moment
In someone’s absent eye

No flight, no light
Shed the burden
On the abandoned
Time to grow up

Little worms
