Just Us MAG
Just us, isolated in the harsh desert
love presents us with.
I don't mind the unfair environment.
Your philosophies entice me.
May I take your hand in secrecy?
Just us, learning from each other;
taking humble, timid steps together
meandering about each grain of sand,
captiously studying the patterns of
our footprints
under the blistering heat of detection.
Just us, as we cover our tracks,
convinced that we will remain undetected.
Pot luck and precise determination preserve our freedom as lovers.
It's the rush that fuels the fire in which the sun yet burns,
staining our delicate skin to remind us of
its unforgiving providence.
