I am the grandest addiction.
Each touch sends you deeper into my grip.

I am the one you are devoted to,
As you become subservient to my black and white keys.

I am the lonesome creature that sits
Waiting for the caress of my slave.

I am the sound that your whole body feels
And that you hear in your heart.

I am your savior.
A sedative for even the angriest soul.

I am the passing hours,
That sound from sun to moon.

The author's comments:
I love playing the piano and it is one of the only things that can make me feel happy when I'm feeling anything but. I play it everyday when I get home from school and sometimes I play until the sun goes down.
