- What Matters
new york, new york. you start spreading the news.
hit the highway fast now, now i smack down the cruise.
this is like a song without the words, call it instrumental.
it just fits just fine, call me mr. sentimental.
who cares, apparently the girls prefer that, sure.
hopefully this medicine is for happiness, the cure?
you never lie to me, damn wrinkly carpet always around.
but you raise me up somehow, like a pitcher's mound.
let's be honest, i know you very little but i don't care.
i just want to get to know you anyways, maybe a pair?
a pair out for the night to see how things go about.
cause from a snapshot viewpoint, you look like a knock out.
sunshine, spreading rays of warmth to my boring days.
and it seems like every other night, you're eating some lays.
stacks, stacking up the texts till my inbox saying 80% full.
i just hope we can practice these hugs, till they're softer then wool.
now i'm sitting on my own shoulders for now since i'm used to that.
but i could really use a touching hand to hold, as i sat.
so just waiting for my simulation's of these situations to come true.
so sometime soon, i plan on asking if you wanna do something for two.
