Way I Was
on a river that flows gently, dodging boulders.
to attain a third and fourth hand, helpful shoulders.
riding the current till a waterfall is found upon.
when our labeling system is wistfully gone.
loving has several or more detaining definitions.
it depends on the relationship, its conditions.
transforming it is impossible if you actually try.
so let the life happen, let emotions come by.
in pain, wanting it now, knowing it is waiting.
when things so sweet, now seem degrading.
true things come out in a way unexplainable.
but to find that other to you is obtainable.
wishing and hoping are essentially the same thing.
but we all are wishing and hoping, for a lifelong ring.
as the climate changes so do other's emotions.
where we judge them by people's speech and notions.
my heart beats as fast as an ailing uncle's has.
but i let things roll off my tongue, like trumpet's to jazz.
knock it off, the annoyance of my conscience still here.
but now it just makes me depressed, hopeless; commence tears.
