Dead, cold, lying next to me
I clutch your frozen body
your skin now blue
In flew Enza
and took you away from me
Influenza
a mass grave
dig me a grave
and bury me too
but this time
alive
In flew Enza
and took me away
with you

The author's comments:
The Spanish Influenza inspired me to write this piece, it's about a girl who's best friend dies of the Influenza, and she was never able to tell him how much she loved him. It's just something that never was touched on, all this pain these people felt.
