Ring Those Bells
To another year of skimming pages.
While teenager's lasting acne rages.
Whereupon pencil's are angrily broken.
Lying with words accurately misspoken.
Craning backs on the wooden seats.
The overachiever and homework meets.
Murmuring, rumors, and laughter echoes.
White people take words from the ghettos.
The clocks never seemed so dead in here.
Legs shake anticipating the bell is near.
Lockers slammed, love too, within the bricks.
Kids listen to Foster the People and kicks.
Friday night is right nearby the calendar.
Another school year, another huge blur.
