Shining
Even the sun is jealous of
The way you shine.
Like a fleeting dove
You're a good sign.
For moments that run
away from my hands.
They are a pleasant stun
to these Hoosier lands.
You're vibrant as if you're
the energizer bunny.
Your diction is poor
But you're quite funny.
I mean damn, honestly
What's not to adore?
On my mind constantly
I seem to always want more.
Your hands are mine to hold
even when stuffed in my hoodie.
When it's brutally cold
and you're mightily moody.
Now the world is out there
and it's frighteningly immense.
But I know that you care
and here at my defense.
