I want to be The Best,
Not the best I can be

I want to be Successful,
Not achieve success

I want to be The Fairest of them All,
Not beautiful

I want to be Famous,
Not well-known

I want the World,
Not everything

I want my Wants,
Not my needs

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this piece after witnessing the struggle for perfection amongst my peers at school. I hope my peers realize that this mentality is skewed and we should strive to be the best people we can be and stop trying to fit a certain mold. Everybody is different, but we are all human.

Well written and a Gr8 message - if only everybody could implement this to their lives - would be a much better world for all...very well conveyed

Great poem! But dont "want" so much, be thankful for what you already have! :) Love it though!
