"I don't find it easy to write about happy [stuff]. You don't need a release when you're happy." --Adam Gontier

I had a dream last night
It terrified me
I almost woke up screaming
But it wasn’t quite that scary
I sent you a verse
One I’d selected
And for the second time ever
You made a response
But it wasn’t good
It made me cry
The only part I remember
Was the message it sent
The words are now foggy
But the meaning still clear
You want nothing to do with Him
And, by default, not me either
For a moment I thought it was real
Events would make more sense
But then I woke and started forgetting
The letters that made the words
The words that made the phrases
And the phrases that broke my heart
But what I remember now
Is that we’re still in the same place
Waiting and praying
For something I fear will never come
