my mask

my mask of laughter
underneath my tears
my mask of happiness
underneath my sadness
my mask...
that's all you see
why?
because that's all I want you to see...
why?
because i know that you won't understand...
because I'm too afraid to show you the truth.
why?
because the only thing you'll tel me is to suck it up...
my mask...
it hides ME
it hides my fear
my pain
my sadness...
...from those who JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!

Wow. its as if you just looked into my soul. And those who say they are perfect, and that They themselves dont have a mask, there wrong. Every one has a secret side and i think its time we let Us out. Let the world see us for who we are. like it or not. Beatiful poem.
