Inadequacy
A feeling of inadequacy clouds my vision
I am irrelevant amongst the inhabitants of this world
Longing for the supernatural gifts that so thoughtlessly
Ignored me and still to this day conceals itself in-between the cracks of the wall
As I search blindly with my hands outstretched
The dust accumulates, mocking my self-worth
Dancing in the vacancy of my presence in this world
Falling short of the bar that society has fashioned for me with its own hands
A prisoner to my criticism, a pawn to society, insufficient in my own eyes
Incapable of distinguishing the taste of inadequacy and worthlessness
So I wait…
Not for the feeling of adequacy to make itself present to me
But instead the day where my spirit frees itself from this confinement
This trap… this restraint
And finds itself amongst the clouds
