Scratches on Paper/Forbidden Words
There are scratches
On these papers so stale and old
No ink to reveal the words
Of memories once told
Just simple little scratches
From an inkless quill
As if the writer was trying
To make the ink appear at will
Small and sharp scratches
That you can just barely see
Little dents in fragile paper
You can only feel so delicately
These scratches on these papers
So annoying and yet so fine
Reflect the pain of hiding
Forbidden words throughout time
