I am a Bird.
I am a bird.
Shattered wings
Tied together
With a piece of black, silky ribbon.
Remind me of her.
That Dark-Haired woman,
Who took my thoughts,
Walked out with my hopes, destroyed my love.
I watch her come closer.
Smile at me,
Place a feminine hand
On my broken-down, steel cage.
She yells, She screams.
High-pitched sound
Hurts my diminutive ears;
It makes me wonder about my Sanity.
She takes me in her hand.
Tie the ribbon
Even tighter.
Delighted by my Pain, she laughs at my Misery.
She plays around.
My feathered body
Still on her hand,
Coming down to the hard, cold floor.
I fall with her.
She holds me tightly,
Wings still tied.
My heart hurts, now I know the Truth.
She dragged me down.
Tied me up,
Stole my soul.
Slowly, she took my life away.
I am a bird.
Broken wings,
Shattered dreams.
I am nothing more.
