I tweet my twit.
You throw a fit.
It’s not even about you, or is it?
You’re so vain.

I think about us every night.
How we always fight.
We used to be so tight.
You’re so vain.

Sometimes you pick me up, but mainly knock me down.
I’m stuck in a pool full of water waiting to drown.
You’re fine with whatever as long as your fake outer beauty is around.
You’re so vain.

Enough is enough.
I no longer stand so tough.
Lies coming from everywhere, too much to bluff.
You’re so vain.

Best Friends Forever has now ended.
For so long we pretended.
Goodbye will never be fully apprehended.
You’re so vain.

This is a really personal poem about someone I used to be so close with, but thanks to time and growing apart, we are no longer friends.

Love the story behind the words. Lots of good people in the world, just need to find them. Keep telling your story.
