That crisp fall morning
Waking up to the sun beaming in my face
Hearing the birds go chirp chirp
Walking out the house feeling the wet grass
Tickling my feet
Trees rustling in the wind
Swaying from side to side
Changing colors from that luscious green
To a vibrant red, yellow, and orange
Gorgeous scenery right in front of me
The lake is glistening when the sun looks down upon it
Everything is calm, like time has been frozen
Not a single cricket chirps
Not a single cloud in the sky
A blue blanket above the earth
The moon is still visible, it’s almost full

Sometimes I picture myself
Walking on a long sandy beach
Hearing the roaring waves crash
Seagulls crying for food and saying the day has just begun
A gentle breeze tickling the hairs on the back of my neck
Palm trees full of coconuts
Palm leaves all over the white sandy beach
Seashells popping up all over the place
I imagine myself stepping into the clear blue ocean
Looking down and seeing my feet
Seeing the fish swimming around me
Sea turtle grass brushing up against my legs
Seaweed trying to grab as I run out the water
Some days I wish I were at the beach
But for now I’m going to enjoy what’s in front of me
