Soft Protection
Red and Black; and
Soft as clouds
Sitting here above them all,
Patiently waiting
The distinct look; her big eyes,
large antennas,
And her soft face.
LOVE.
She is the protection from monsters,
the ones in my closet.
Sending her demands, to the extra soldiers,
My friends.
As I lay my head; the moon lays his.
I begin to dream,
And she whispers,
“Sweet Dreams”
The warmth on my face:
the rising sun.
I raise my head and she is the first face I see.
Her job well done again,
Thank You; with the start of my day.
She prepares for another night,
My very special friend.
