Children of the Seas
“For the children we grieve
lost in the seas…”
They’ve taken a part of me.
Pulled it under,
dragging
me.
Heart of the
ocean
controlling me.
Still doll.
Faintest memory.
Lips are moving,
Nothing is spoken.
Broken,
battered,
losing focus.
Clouds grow dark,
Waves begin to roar,
Slapping against
a barren shore.
Open
heart,
Open
mind.
Suffocating lungs.
Salty tears
Meshing
around water,
Shoving us along.
Scream,
beg,
plead.
FOREVER,
To
be
set free.
Chains
binding
them down…
Mummified,
Lost,
Without
a sound.
The struggle
Will soon
end.
Moon rising,
Setting,
once again.
Everything we see,
Once believed.
Tortured,
Lied to,
In misery.
And so it be,
Praying it was a dream…
“For the children we grieve,
Lost in the seas...”
Taking a part of me.
