An Apostrophe
Pain within my heart
Known to be juvenille
But managing to cry
all the whiile
Not even sure why
I write this piece of poetry
Attempting in some way
to combat what you've done to me?
But, you are not at fault
Still, someone has must take the blame
And I dare not be caught
Being responsible for my shame
And love, so pompous and arrogant
Comits a hit and run
And i cunningly shoot the culprit
With my loaded gun
I hate you, I love you
I'd kiss you, and I miss you
Proven it possible to create a lie
Create and an apostrophe of love
Despite the blatant truth, fabricate a tie
Push and shove past the obvious
Deny the hubris and just
subside to the
naivety
easily and foolishly
letting myself become
an unwanted someone
And what came to show
the darkness below
For the pain felt
Apology for you
and one for myself
The truth is KNOWN
Complexity festering within itslef
The love shown
But remains the lie
Decaying on its shelf
